Ramada Plaza in Southport seals £15m deal to take over entire Waterfront

ramada plaza southportTHE owners of Southport’s Ramada Plaza Hotel have completed a reported £15m-plus deal to take over the entire Waterfront Complex where it is located.

Bliss Investment Partners is now in talks with Sefton Council regarding the short-term operation of Southport Theatre and Convention Centre (STCC).

The biggest theatre space in the borough with a seated capacity of more than 1,600 it has been operated by Ambassador Theatre Group for the past 18 years, however this arrangement will end next month.

Daniel Broch, from Bliss, said: “We have big ambitions for both the Waterfront and Southport and we are invigorated by the energy and creativity we have encountered from Sefton Council.

“Together we are excited by the prospect of being able to integrate STCC fully into the new waterfront destination for the first time ever and look forward to revealing plans for the entire site which aims to create waterfront as a landmark local and national leisure destination.”
