It will be managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts which operates a portfolio of branded and independent hotels across the UK and Southern Spain.
The four-star Crabwall Manor has 48 en-suite bedrooms, a purpose-built bar, the Earl of Chester restaurant, and leisure centre and spa.
The hotel undertook a comprehensive £1.5m renovation in 2014 and was acquired with additional planning permission to expand the conference facilities and add a further seven letting bedrooms.
Andy Townsend, CEO Legacy Hotels & Resorts, said: “Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa is a well-established addition to our striking regional country house hotel portfolio, following the addition of New Place Hotel Southampton earlier this year.
“The popularity of the hotel is testament to its success and potential, and demonstrates how Chester continues to establish itself as strong location for the hotel and hospitality sector.”
