Ten accolades, including the Howard Raynor Lifetime Achievement Award, were given out at the event held at The Principal Manchester (pictured).
The Lowry Hotel’s Andrew Green scooped Mentor of the Year, Hotel Football landed the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Manchester Evening News while the Malmaison’s Ray Begley won the Howard Raynor Life Time Achievement Award.
Manchester Hoteliers’ Association (MHA) Chair Adrian Ellis praised all entrants and congratulated the winners and those shortlisted in what was a fiercely contested set of awards.
He said: “The MHA Ball is growing in significance year on year and this year’s casino themed gathering was fantastic and a lot of fun.
“The calibre of entries to all the categories was exceedingly high and more people entered than in 2016. I can only congratulate the winners and everyone involved in the event, which aims to showcase the wealth of talent that exists in our industry.
“We are also delighted to announce that we expect to raise more than £30,000 this year for brilliant causes including Mustard Tree, The Springboard Charity, Wood Street Mission and Hospitality Action.”
