Alston Bar & Beef holding recruitment day for its new Manchester restaurant

STEAK and gin specialist Alston Bar & Beef is holding a recruitment day in advance of the opening of its first restaurant in England at Manchester’s Corn Exchange this autumn.

Up to 40 new jobs, including chefs and front-of-house staff, are available.

The 160-cover restaurant will build on the success of the original Alston Bar & Beef in Glasgow which claims a reputation for offering the highest quality steak and the biggest selection of gins in the city

General Manager Riki Bennet is looking for people who have a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service, as well as those with an appreciation of all things steak and gin to join the team.

“We are looking for a team to bring our award-winning concept to life here in Manchester,” said Bennet.

“Our mission is to raise the bar for meat and gin lovers and it’s essential we have a team of staff who are passionate about becoming experts in their field and delivering the best dining and drinking experience.

“It will be a great place to work and develop your career in the industry, with the support of the wider Glendola Leisure brand which has a strong reputation for staff development, training and progression.”

Owner Glendola Leisure is offering a competitive salary and hourly wage and new recruits will benefit from a benefits package including holidays, loyalty schemes and training and development programmes.

The recruitment open day is taking place on Wednesday, September 13, at Waxy O’Connor’s in The Printworks from 12 pm to 5 pm. It is open to applicants for all roles.
