The historic Heidi’s Grasmere Lodge on the market with £1.365m price tag

The 200-year-old bed and breakfast in Grasmere holds a prominent position in a prime trading location in Red Lion Square.

The six-bedroom hotel has been restored over recent years using traditional materials and local craftsmen. Today, the historic building remains full of character with its exposed stone and slate walls and low beams.

A number of rooms also offer floor to ceiling sash windows, outdoor patios and roof terraces which have remarkable views across the Cumbrian Mountains and surrounds.

TripExpert, based in New York City, works out its awards based on the views of writers working for over 70 leading travel publications, including Lonely Planet, Frommer’s and The Telegraph. Fewer than 2% of hotels around the world receive the award.
