Liverpool City Region reveals awards shortlist

Chris-BrownFINALISTS in this year’s Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards have been announced.

The shortlisted businesses will now go forward to the final judging panel ahead of the awards on May 18 at the iconic St George’s Hall.

Chris Brown (pictured), Director at Marketing Liverpool, said: “This year there was an unbelievable number of high quality entries, including a lot of new names, from across the region’s tourism sector.

“2016 was a fantastic year for tourism in the region so it has made choosing a select handful of businesses for our shortlist even harder.

“We look forward to the event in May when we will be celebrating the region’s cream of the crop and reflecting on a truly remarkable last twelve months.”

The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards is also calling out for the general public to nominate individuals or tourism businesses that provided outstanding service in 2016.

In addition to the 16 categories shortlisted, the award ceremony also includes The People’s Choice Award, sponsored by the British Music Experience, which is the only category voted for by the public.
